Wendy Hart is the legal assistant at Duff Law Firm, P.L.C., bringing nearly three decades of experience supporting clients and attorneys through personal injury and employment law cases across Des Moines and the state of Iowa.
Wendy was born and raised in Des Moines and attended East High School. She studied at Northwest Missouri State University for two years before transferring to Iowa State University, where she earned a B.S. in Psychology in 1997.
Her ties to the capital city run deep, and she takes pride in helping neighbors across Polk, Story, Dallas, and Warren Counties navigate difficult legal matters. Clients calling the West Des Moines office often speak with Wendy first, and she makes every person feel heard from the very first call.
Wendy joined Duff Law Firm, P.L.C. in October 2003 and has worked alongside Tom Duff ever since. Before that, she spent eight years as a legal assistant at Roxanne Conlin & Associates, P.C. in Des Moines, where she first discovered her passion for this work.
She says her psychology degree comes in handy every single day, especially when supporting clients facing stressful injury claims or workplace disputes. With more than 26 years of combined legal experience, Wendy is a trusted first point of contact for personal injury and employment law clients throughout Iowa.
Wendy works closely with both Tom and Jim Duff, helping manage cases from intake through resolution. She is now building the same strong working relationship with Jim that she has shared with Tom for more than two decades.
Outside the office, Wendy enjoys spending time with friends, reading, watching true crime documentaries, and taking photos of sky scenes and her cats. Her creative side shines through her small-scale cupcake business and her Etsy shop, where she sells knitted and crocheted items. That same care and attention to detail carries into every client file she touches.
